Please read through this entire page carefully, as there are important steps for you to complete prior to registration. The transfer cadet and one parent/guardian are required to attend registration sessions with all required documents.
Information Session
There will be a mandatory in-person information/orientation session for parents/guardians on September 12, 2026 at 3:50 pm at the Legion Branch 83 (5291 Grimmer St, Burnaby, BC V5H 0B3).
Location and Date
Transfer cadets are to attend registration on Thursday, September 17, 2025, at Nelson Elementary School (4850 Irmin Street, Burnaby, BC V5J 1Y2).
To avoid congestion, we have dedicated time slots for you to register, corresponding to the last name of the transfer cadet. Please arrive within your designated time window.
- Surname starting with A-K: 6:30 pm
- Surname starting with L-R: 7:15 pm
- Surname starting with S-Z: 8:00 pm
Required Documents
Please ensure that you print, fill out, and bring all of the following documents with you:
- Annual Validation Form (AVF). First, your previous unit will need to strike you off strength from the previous unit’s Fortress. Contact your previous unit’s Administration Officer and copy 637air@cadets.gc.ca. Second, you will be taken on strength on 637’s Fortress before the AVF is generated and emailed to you.
- Both the original and a photocopy (front and back) of proof of legal residency in Canada. This can be one of the following;
- A Valid Canadian passport;
- Canadian birth certificate;
- Residency Card; or
- Visa
- Both the original and a photocopy (front and back) of proof of health insurance. This can be a valid BC Services Card or private health insurance.
What if I’m unable to make it to my assigned registration night?
If you are unable to attend the assigned registration session, attend on an alternate night (September 24 at Nelson Elementary). After October 1, 2026, registration applications will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
